Planning an Aruba Trip: What to Know
Aruba sits outside the Caribbean hurricane belt and gets some of the most consistent weather in the region, which is exactly why it draws so many repeat visitors. Four to five days covers the essentials without feeling rushed. Base yourself near Eagle Beach or Palm Beach for easy access to restaurants and calm swimming water, then use at least one day to get inland to Arikok National Park, where the landscape switches abruptly from beach resort to cactus-covered desert and volcanic rock.
Driving is genuinely easy on Aruba: the roads are good, distances are short, and rental cars are affordable compared to a lot of the Caribbean. That makes it a strong pick if you want the freedom to explore without relying on tours or taxis. Peak season is January through April, but Aruba's weather makes it a solid choice nearly any month.
